The district of
Comfort, which is nestled in the cool hills of
Manchester, will come alive on December 12th 2009, with the grand opening of
John Wayne's HQ. There will be a special event for the opening of this new bar and grill which is owned and operated by Wayne (John Wayne) and
Lorna Gordon of
New York Entertainment Movement. This event will feature artists such
Spice, A.S.K, Timmi Burrell, Sophia Squire, Ninja Princess and
Chabe. Music will provided by
DJ Smurf of
IRIE FM, Magnum Sound, New York Movement Sound and
Nite Life.
All community talents are invited to come and participate in this event. There will be lots of giveaways and prizes such as flat screen televisions and cellular phones, there will also be a dance contest the winner of this contest will receive a trophy and a cash prize. Admission is $300. Sponsors for this event include Negril One Stop and Pryce Construction. Part proceeds will go to the Comfort Basic School.
The following week
New York Entertainment Movement will also be hosting a treat at the Comfort All Age School for the children in the Comfort community.
